Presented by Government House

The Governor’s Benefit Ball 2026, hosted by His Excellency Chris Dawson AC APM, promises an unforgettable evening celebrating Western Australia’s culture and community spirit.

With performances from WA Ballet, WA Opera, and the WA Jazz Project, the event will showcase an extraordinary fusion of music, dance, and song within the elegant surroundings of Government House’s iconic ballroom.

Guests will be treated to an exceptional culinary experience, as some of Western Australia’s finest culinary talent present a curated selection of the State’s best produce, wine, and spirits. The Governor’s Benefit Ball carries a strong philanthropic purpose, with funds raised supporting four deserving Western Australian beneficiaries and contributing directly to local communities.

The 2026 theme, From Red Dirt to Red Carpet, draws inspiration from the transformative gold rush era of the 1890s—a time that shaped the State’s identity and funded iconic public buildings, including the Government House Ballroom itself.

This historic setting, rich with stories of ambition, discovery and prosperity, provides a striking backdrop for an evening of celebration. Blending cultural excellence, generosity and heritage, the Governor’s Benefit Ball 2026 will be a memorable and meaningful occasion.
