Arts and Culture Trust launches inaugural community partnerships program

The Arts and Culture Trust (ACT) is delighted to announce the official launch of its Community Partnerships Program, an initiative designed to support local not-for-profit organisations and foster meaningful connections within the community.

This program reflects ACT’s unwavering commitment to promoting shared goals, community engagement, and long-term positive impact.

ACT was pleased to receive expressions of interest from numerous local organisations to join the Community Partnerships Program. After a rigorous evaluation process, four standout organisations were selected as inaugural partners:

  • Dogs' Refuge Home
  • Hannah’s House
  • Ruah Community Services
  • Short Back & Sidewalks

Each application was assessed by an expert panel and reviewed against criteria such as organisational status, strategic alignment, cultural and social responsibility, community presence, reputational impact, and potential conflicts of interest.

ACT Chief Executive Officer, Janis Carren, said the successful community partners demonstrated exceptional alignment with ACT’s mission and values, alongside a shared commitment to driving meaningful and sustainable change for Western Australian communities.

“We are proud to partner with these incredible organisations that reflect the heart and soul of Western Australia’s community spirit.

Through collaboration, mutual support, and shared purpose, we aim to create enduring positive outcomes that uplift and strengthen the communities we serve.”

Formal partnership agreements span from now until 31 January 2027.

This new program marks a significant milestone in ACT’s dedication to fostering collaboration and cultural inclusivity, ensuring that the creative industries and community development thrive hand-in-hand.
