New Appointments for the Arts and Culture Trust Board
The Arts and Culture Trust (ACT) Board Chair, Morgan Solomon has welcomed incoming board members Veronica Jeffery and Kylie Groves to the ACT Board for a four-year tenure.
The ACT Board oversees some of the State’s most significant arts and cultural assets and applies a State-wide lens to engagement, business activities and the optimisation of its iconic venues and spaces in both metropolitan and regional Western Australia.
Ms Jeffrey brings more than 30 years of government policy and local community experience to the ACT Board. “Veronica has held senior roles in government including as deputy chief of staff to Premier Mark McGowan and chief of staff to Minister for Transport and Planning,” Mr Solomon said.
“Her prior senior executive experience at the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority and East Perth Redevelopment Authority will be invaluable for the ACT which is currently in the process of several construction projects.”
Kylie Groves is a senior legal practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience in advising both government and non-government clients across all areas of employment, workplace relations, discrimination and health and safety.
“Kylie is accomplished in her field, she has consistently ranked in the Best Lawyers list of Labour and Employment and Doyle’s Guide WA for Employment,” Mr Solomon said. "She was also the recipient of the Attorney-General’s Community Service Law Award.”
Melvin Yeo and Zoë Atkinson membership of the Board was also renewed for another four-year term.
The ACT Board also includes Nadia van Dommelen, Michelle Tremain, Robert Taylor and Lisa Montgomery.
