General Information

The Perth Film Studios Open Day is an all ages, smoking & vape free, alcohol-free event.

Visitors can expect a range of activities and activations suitable for all ages. The Open Day will allow visitors an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the new state-of-the-art Perth Film Studios facility, including:

  • The opportunity to observe a real film shoot in action
  • Panel discussions
  • An exhibition hall with industry stallholders
  • Immersive and interactive activities
  • Food trucks and refreshments

Everyone is welcome at the Perth Film Studios Open Day. The event is suitable for all ages including families, high school students looking to step into the world of film and television, early career practitioners and industry professionals.
Yes. The Open Day is a free event and you must register for tickets to be permitted entry.
To register your ticket, please go to xxxx and select a timed entry block. Maximum six tickets per transaction. Tickets are not transferable.
The Open Day will be held on Saturday 12 September 2026. Doors open at 8:30am and close at 5:00pm. Please arrive 20–30 minutes before the timed entry listed on your ticket to allow for parking, traffic delays and entry queues.

Getting to Perth Film Studios

Perth Film Studios is located at 390 Marshall Road, Whiteman WA 6068. Please be aware there will be road closures in place around the event site. Follow all directions and signage provided.
Free parking is available onsite. Due to anticipated demand, public transport is encouraged. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Overflow parking is available at Ballajura Train Station.
Yes. A free shuttle service will run continuously between Ballajura Train Station and Perth Film Studios throughout the day.
Yes. Bus and train travel on Saturday 12 September 2026 will be free for valid ticketholders.

From the Perth CBD via bus, routes xxxx will take you to Ballajura Train Station.

From the Perth CBD via train, the xxxx line will take you to Ballajura Train Station.

From Morley Bus Station via bus, routes xxxx will take you to Ballajura Train Station.

Yes. Taxis and rideshare services such as Uber should drop off and collect passengers at Ballajura Train Station, where visitors can access the free shuttle bus service.

Safety & Guidelines

Visitors must follow the directions of event staff and organisers. Access is not permitted to areas that are locked, sealed off or signed as No Entry or Staff Only.
For the safety of all patrons, bag checks and random security wanding may be conducted at entry points by contracted security personnel.
Photography and filming are permitted. Some restricted areas may apply. Visitors must comply with directions from event staff if asked to stop filming or photographing in certain areas.

Food trucks offering meals, snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
We encourage visitors to support onsite vendors. Small snacks are permitted. No alcohol or glass containers are allowed. Reusable water bottles may be brought and filled at water stations.

Career Day – Information for Schools

School buses should use the designated Backlot Parking Area located at xxxx. Event staff will direct buses to available parking bays after drop-off.
School bags are discouraged. Students may bring a small bag no larger than A4 size, along with a packed lunch, snacks and bottled water.
