Andy is the 2026-2027 Australian Children’s Laureate, he is an ambassador for The Indigenous Literacy Foundation and the Pyjama Foundation, and was awarded the Dromkeen Medal in 2015 in honour of his outstanding contribution to Australian children’s literature.
A passionate advocate for children’s literacy, Andy believes in the power of laughter to supercharge children’s learning. His mission, to inspire children everywhere to discover a love of reading, writing and creativity, while celebrating the humour and joy that make life fun. Because silly stories are serious business!
