Let the clocks start ticking! WA Youth Theatre Company presents the 10th year anniversary of its annual signature event, 24 Hour Play Generator at the Subiaco Arts Centre. This is a highly anticipated event on the local theatre calendar.

One week prior to the performance, emerging playwrights work for 12 hours straight to create 10-minute short plays, under the tutelage of experienced dramaturgs. Six winning plays are distributed to six directors and then at 7am on Saturday 30 May those directors commence an intensive 12-hour rehearsal period, each with a designated WAYTCo member cast, and a designated rehearsal space within Subiaco Arts Centre.

Finally, at the 24th hour, audience members arrive to enjoy six world premieres in one evening: The freshest work in the state!

To assist with the whirlwind production process are experienced lighting and sound designers, and a Stage Manager. That evening audience members arrive to fill the main stage auditorium and enjoy the exciting one-night-only showcase.

WAYTCo's 24 Hour Play Generator pushes participants to their creative edge, incubating some of the most exciting and untapped talent in the state. Full of youthful determination, don't miss WA’s next generation of artists rising to the challenge.

Transaction fees for ticket purchases differ depending on the sales channel you choose.
