About Subiaco Arts Centre
Only 10 minutes west of Perth's central business district, the Subiaco Arts Centre is a multi-purpose venue surrounded by magnificent gardens.
Originally built as the Subiaco City Hall in 1956, the building was converted into a performing arts venue and opened in 1984 as the Subiaco Theatre Centre. In 2006, the centre underwent major refurbishment and reopened as Subiaco Arts Centre.
The Centre boasts three dedicated performance areas including:
- Main Auditorium with a corner stage and raked seating three sides for 305.
- The Studio with an intimate performance area seating 119
- Subiaco Theatre Gardens with a stunning amphitheatre for outdoor concerts.
The Centre is owned by the City of Subiaco and was leased to Arts and Culture Trust (formerly Perth Theatre Trust) in 1984.
