Presented by Perth Waldorf School
Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors is a whirlwind of mistaken identity, slapstick, and fast-paced fun — and this year it comes to life with the Class 12 students of The Perth Waldorf School.
Two sets of identical twins, separated at birth, unknowingly find themselves in the same city. Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant Dromio arrive in Ephesus, unaware that their long-lost brothers, Antipholus of Ephesus and Dromio of Ephesus, already live there.
Chaos erupts as friends, wives, and merchants constantly confuse one pair for the other. Doors slam, tempers flare, debts are demanded, and everyone begins to wonder if madness rules the town.
With lively wordplay, physical comedy, and a joyful ending that reunites a long-separated family, The Comedy of Errors is one of Shakespeare’s most accessible and entertaining plays. For Class 12 students, it offers the chance to explore ensemble theatre, comic timing, and the deeper themes of identity and recognition.
Join us for laughter and celebration as the graduating class of Perth Waldorf School brings fresh energy and exuberance to this timeless comedy.
