This weekend program is designed for actors to seriously up-skill methods and understanding of core acting processes through the exploration of a seminal training text: The Seagull.

Chris Edmund
Chris was one of the founding staff & Head of Acting at WAAPA for 25 years. He trained the very best that have ever graduated from the academy - including super stars Hugh Jackman, Francis O'Connor & Jai Courtney. It was under his extraordinary leadership and guidance that the Acting Course at WAAPA rose to no. 1 in Australia. He auditioned over 1000 actors per year who craved the opportunity to work with him and his team... that's 30,000 actors. Only 18 per year were hand picked by Chris. He has directed over 150 productions worldwide and written numerous award winning plays. He is also a Logie nominee. Chris has been described by graduates as one of the very best in the business with Hugh Jackman stating: "... without Chris' guidance and teaching, I wouldn't be where I am today."

Dalip Sondhi
Dalip has 30 years of actor training experience - in London, Australia and India. He has been a leader of acting and performance courses at London's elite Rose Bruford, Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, and Australia's WAAPA. He now has a thriving career as a professional tv/film actor - with leading roles in over 9 TV shows & 4 major feature films in just 8 years. He is also a best actor award winner for his work opposite Kate Walsh in FTC's The Other Place - directed by Chris Edmund. He has a Masters in Acting, a BA (Hons) & a Post Grad in teaching. Leading industry actors and directors including Kate Walsh, Kerry Armstrong, Susie Porter, Michael Gracy (Dir: Better Man), Mark Waters (dir: Mother of the Bride) are full of praise for Dalip - both as a teacher and an actor. He is also represented by the UK's leading acting agency United Talent Agency as well as MCA & IMC in Australia.
