King's Lair Accessibility

His Majesty’s Theatre is a historic building and some of the spaces we are currently using for the Fringe World Festival have not traditionally been used as performance spaces. This includes the perfomance space King's Lair.

As a result of this, we are working within the constraints of the building to ensure accessibility of all performance spaces including wheelchair access.

Accessible toilets are available on the foyer level/Hay St level of His Majesty’s Theatre. There are no accessible toilets in the basement level.

The accessible access to King’s Lair via elevator leads through the Downstairs at The Maj performance space (Hay Street entrance of His Majesty’s Theatre).

With concurrent or overlapping performances in both spaces, front of house staff will be managing lift access to after the performances at King's Lair.

Front of house staff will be vigilant and available to assist patrons who require the use of the elevator. Please approach His Majesty’s Theatre staff for accessibility assistance. If a member of staff cannot be found, please approach our staff at the box office, located in the foyer.

If you have any concerns or would like to discuss your access needs, please contact us via phone on (08) 9265 0900.
