Presented by Jae West

Dr. Jae West shares her raw, sassy & heartfelt true story in Blacksheep — a bold journey of rebellion, belonging & self-discovery.

This emotive solo show dives deep into hard-hitting truths around body image, societal conditioning and growing up in the LGBTQIA+ community. Confronting and liberating moments are shared through storytelling, dance, and poetry. But it’s not all heavy—expect glitter, Spice Girls, and a viral social experiment that sparked a global conversation.

Developed with the support of The Blue Room Theatre for the Summer Nights Festival (2025) and fresh from its first interstate run at Melbourne Fringe, Blacksheep is a fierce celebration of identity, courage, and the power of truth.

The most moving solo show I’ve seen in a long time.” — Stage Whispers, 2025
