Presented by Arts and Culture Trust, Nick Pages-Oliver & Scott McArdle
Mark has leukaemia.
Between chemo sessions, he has only one wish: to play Dungeons & Dragons. Enter Drew, Digby, and Liz – his loyal friends who have no clue what they’re doing. Together they dive into the world’s most beloved game and are forced to face goblins, necromancers, sexy lizards, and their own mortality – one week at a time.
But as Mark’s prognosis grows worse each week, they find themselves having to say goodbye not only to the world they’ve built together but to the friend who brought them together.
Can the magic of storytelling defy the odds or will the dice roll against them one last time?
The winner of 8 Performing Arts WA Awards (including Best Production, Outstanding New Work, and Outstanding Direction) – Same Time Next Week is a love letter to the friends we lean on and the importance of recapturing the love of play as adults.
Filled with toe-tapping songs and an ensemble of Perth’s best puppeteers – this puppet musical will have you crying with laughter whether you’re a lover of D&D or a total newbie.
“Same Time Next Week is the most expertly crafted and excellently executed show the Blue Room has hosted, ever" – Magazine 600
